Happy Canada Day!

We watched fireworks on Sunday evening in the town of Oakville, about 20 min. SW of Toronto.

On our way to the show, we thought we'd stop to use the "washrooms"...  of course, the women's washroom didn't have any toilet paper sooooo.....

We made due... :) (notice the gender)

Yacht Club right off Lake Ontario..where we sat.
Notice the masts of the sailboats.  They shot fireworks off of a large barge stationed on Lake Ontario.

Wear your RED, WHITE, and ....blue?  Canadians were drenched in their RED and WHITE.  We began the fireworks with "Oh, Canada"...not that we knew any words other than "Oh, Canada".

Harnick Family Visits (from Fishers)

Barry Harnick was Grayson's soccer coach last year and we connected in that they home school, attending Wisdom Builders (our co-op) last school year.  Barry, Stephanie, Nathan, and Matthew were volunteering at the Word of Life Camp, in western New York, and were on there way to the U.P. in Michigan and drove through Canada, as it is the shorter way there.  We were DELIGHTED to have friends visit us here!

  1. Glad you got to see fireworks there. There will be none around here. They cancelled them all because it is too dry.
